About Us
Activate Bermuda was formed in February 2019 by a group of inter-denominational young adults who came together with a goal to do something different in Bermuda. This team has a desire to transform "church as usual", to change the mindset of Millennials and Generation Z to represent God differently; not by religion, denomination, or tradition but by having a relationship with God, period.
We feel that this generation is being called by God to see not only Bermuda but many nations changed and transformed. We want to see God manifest himself throughout our generation so His people can be sold out, without reservations, to see His name elevated in the earth.
Lord, we have heard of your fame, and stand in awe of your deeds. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.

Connect - to establish a unified community of believers for the advancement of the kingdom
What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

We believe that our eternal destination of Heaven is determined by our response of ‘Yes’ to the Lord Jesus Christ, and our belief that he died on the cross for our sins.

Rasheeda Burgess
was appointed Chairman of Activate Bermuda in March 2019.
She has been actively involved in ministry, being a keynote speaker at various churches and assemblies across the island, participating in panel discussions, advocating for young adults in various capacities and to see positive change take place within her generation.

Kezia Furbert
Deputy Chair Person
Kezia Furbert
was appointed Deputy Chair of Activate Bermuda in March 2019.
She is actively involved in ministry, miming with her Cornerstone team at various ministry engagements, singing on their praise team and as a background vocalist for Last Call. She has always had a passion for the arts and young people, and is excited to see all that God has in store!

Keitha Caines
Treasurer
Keitha Caines was appointed Treasurer of Activate Bermuda in March 2019.
She has been actively involved in ministry, which also includes serving as Assistant Treasurer for her local church. It is her desire to see young adults have a personal anchored relationship with Jesus that withstands any turbulence internally and externally.

Secretary
Phylicia Furbert was appointed Secretary of Activate Bermuda in December 2020.
She is an active member of her church's praise team and enjoys the creative arts including dance, music, and photography. She wants to see this generation grounded in their faith and pursuing all of what God has for them.
Shanay Scott
Executive Committee Member
Shanay Scott was appointed as Executive Committee Member in December 2020.
She is an active member of the Activate Bermuda team and also leads the Prayer for Change movement in Bermuda. She loves the Lord and is passionate about helping bring God to where the people are so that they can get to know Him in a more personal and intimate way.
